“George’s clutch 3-pointer in the final seconds seals victory for Clippers against Warriors”

The Los Angeles Clippers secured a narrow 113-112 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, with Paul George hitting a crucial 3-pointer in the final nine seconds to give his team their first lead of the game. George was the top scorer for the Clippers, contributing 25 points, six rebounds, and six assists, while James Harden and Kawhi Leonard added 21 and 20 points respectively. Despite making a total of 17 3-pointers, with four each from Green, Curry, and Thompson, the Warriors were unable to secure the win. In his 900th NBA game, Curry led his team with 22 points and 11 assists, while Green had 21 points and nine rebounds, and Moody added 21 points and made nine of ten free throws. The game ended with a missed game-winning 3-pointer by Green after a timeout.

The Clippers got their revenge against Golden State in a game that took place just two days after their previous loss to the team in San Francisco. Despite being down by 10 points early in the fourth quarter, the Clippers managed to pull within one on two separate occasions. The Warriors held a five-point lead of 111-106 after Mօօdy made a pair of free throws with just over a minute remaining, but the Clippers were able to get within striking distance thanks to a score from Harden before George hit a crucial three-pointer. Golden State extended their lead to 98-88 in the fourth quarter after Thօmpsօn’s three-point shot, but the Clippers responded with a seven-point run to pull within three.

Chris Paul from Golden State was unable to play his last two games due to a nerve contusion in his left lower leg, while Andrew Wiggins had to sit out because of soreness in his right finger. Despite James Harden’s impressive 15-point contribution, the Clippers managed to bounce back from a 22-point deficit and reduce the gap to just two in the third quarter. However, Klay Thompson’s basket and 3-pointer ensured that the Warriors maintained their lead at 92-85 heading into the final quarter. Although the Clippers managed to score 10-2 and narrow the gap to nine, the Warriors still stretched their lead to 17 points in the second quarter.

Curry took charge and scored 10 of the Warriors’ last 12 points before halftime. He made consecutive three-pointers which helped them take a 67-48 lead. In the first half, five players combined to make 12 out of 22 three-point shots, while the Warriors had an impressive 19 assists. The game began with Green’s first three-pointer, which set the tone for their offense. The team hit seven three-pointers in the first quarter and led by 13 points. Green’s back-to-back three-pointers drew a loud reaction from the Golden State fans. He made four three-pointers, which tied his career high for the most in a single quarter.
